MEET THE TEAM
Originally from the Hawkes Bay and a keen Magpies supporter, Jason is a co-owner of P & C Insurance. Jason moved to the Manawatu to take up a position with a specialist rural insurance company in Palmerston North, where he worked for 12 years; his last position there was New Zealand Claims Manager. Jason made the switch to insurance broking more than a decade ago and has held board member positions with both IBANZ and Allied Insurance Group during that time. Married to Helen, with three children who are all but grown up, and two beautiful grandchildren, he owns a lifestyle block in Waituna West where he breeds Wiltshire sheep. Jason is the current Chairman of Feilding Promotion and works hard to make sure Feilding keeps being a great place to live and work!
Saras’ career in the insurance industry began in 1991 and she has held roles in claims, sales management and branch management for several large insurers since that time. Sara joined P & C Insurance in 2006 as the claims manager and moved into insurance broking in 2007 by purchasing Tararua Insurance Brokers. In 2009 she became a co-owner of P & C Insurance. Born and bred in the Manawatu, Sara is married to Shaun and has two children. Sara lives on a lifestyle block and spends much of her free time involved in her childrens numerous sporting and music activities.
With a father in the army, Sandra spent a lot of time moving around the country as a child (including living in Waiouru for far too long!). She regards Wanganui as her home town as her family still resides there but she has lived in Feilding since 2001. Sandra has been in the insurance industry her entire working life and has more than twenty years’ experience in various customer support roles (including claims) in different parts of the country. Now a valued member of the P & C Insurance team, she joined us in 2006. Sandra is married and has three children and lives on a lifestyle block.
Born in the UK, Peta has lived in New Zealand for most of her life (apart from a four-year stint in Australia – but we won’t hold that against her). Peta has held roles in sales and office management and has worked in the insurance industry since 1997. As Claims Manager for P & C Insurance since 2009, Peta liaises between our clients and the insurers to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for our clients when they lodge a claim. She is also our Office Manager and combines this with Reception duties to ensure that our office runs smoothly. Peta lives in a cottage on the Foxton Beach estuary and adores spending time with her four children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Melinda has a strong connection to Feilding having been born and raised on a Dairy Farm in Colyton where she currently lives with her partner and young son. Melinda has previously worked in the hospitality industry as a caterer and still occasionally finds time to whip up tasty morning tea treats for our staff! She moved to the insurance industry in 2011 and has worked as a rural consultant. Melinda can often be found helping out on the family farm in her spare time.
Kaye lives on a sheep and beef farm on the outskirts of Feilding that she runs with husband Warwick. She has three grown up children and one delightful grandson! Kaye joined P & C Insurance in 2012 and her wealth of farming knowledge has been a huge asset to us. She loves travelling, spending time in her garden and is a keen supporter of her families various interests including rugby and motocross.
